C18. Double depth 2 storey timberframed house with pantiled gabled roofs
and longitudinal valley gutter. Front slope to street with bellcast. Now
tiled. Weatherboarding to S side: Plastered N side. C19 brick front
colourwashed. Large lateral chimney to S part. Small external gable
chimney to N. Symmetrical 3 window front with clasping corner pilasters
and projecting band under eaves. Recessed plate glass sashes to 1st floor.
Twin canted bays to Gd floor with hipped roofs and large plate glass
sashes with narrower side lights. Central door up 3 stone steps. Flat
hood on slender tapered,cast iron columns with moulded necking and annulet
at half height. Attached on N side, a single storey timberframed outbuilding
on brick base. Weatherboarded and pantiled roof with gable to street
decorated by C19 elaborate pierced bargeboard with finial. 8 paned central
window with crown glass. C19, 2 pane centre hung vent in gable.
Picturesque. Part of architectural group on W side of road.
