House pair. Early C18, altered and extended early C19. Flint with red
and buff brick dressings, with plain tiled roofs. Two blocks. That to
right, C19 of 2 storeys and basement with roof half-hipped to left,
with stacks to centre left and at end right. Three glazing bar sashes
on first floor in partly blocked openings, and 3 tripartite sashes on
ground floor, with 3 basement openings. To left, early C19, lower 2
storeys, with roof hipped to left, with stacks to rear left and rear
right. Four glazing bar sashes on first floor and 2 on ground floor with
cambered heads. Panelled door to left and half-glazed with margin lights
to right both in gabled flint-panelled porches. Anciently a manorial
house owned by de Bere family.
