Barn. Cl7. Red brick, largely renewed. Steep old red tile
roofs. A large unaisled 5-bay barn facing E with gabled E porch
to middle bay with weatherboarding in gable. Unjowled shallow
bay posts rise from stones built into walls to the cambered tie-
beams. Long curved braces to the tie beams. Trusses with high
collar and angle struts support a hybrid side-purlin roof with
upper clasped-purlin and lower butt-purlin in each slope. Clasped-
purlin porch roofs. Face-halved bladed scarf joist in rear wall-
plate.
