Probably early C18, with part rebuilt in early C20. Formerly a mill and millers'
house, now a dwelling. Two storeys in red and blue bricks with tile roof. Four
windows, one to the right blocked, the others casements of 2 and 3 lights. Three
casement windows of 3 lights to the ground floor with segmental heads. Modern
door. The mill stream still flows to the left of this section beneath a flat
archway with an early C20 canted oriel window above. The wheel and other machinery
have been removed. To the left of this one window below a dormer and the rest
of the mill premises, converted into living accommodation in the early C20 and
slightly taller in build, with a canted oriel above 2 windows. Some original
ceiling beams with chamfer remain to the right-hand section. There has been a
mill on this site from the time of Domesday Book.
