Phillips monument in churchyard about 6.5m west of south-west corner of porch, Church of St. Michael and All Angels

Pedestal tomb; last third C18; stone. Flat lid with moulded
edge, quarter-round set back, stone sweeping up to roll moulding,
with above steep, pointed square dome with rope coiled round top.
Below lid a plain frieze; tall, square-edged oval panels on sides,
with quarter square elongated corner balusters. Moulded top to
plinth, on a flat stone base at ground level. Commemorates
Phillips, Pearce and Morgan, dying 1763 to 1789 and 1827; some
distinguished by occupation, Phillips being only rope-maker.
