Farmhouse. C17 with additions of C18, altered C20. Rendered brick and
sandstone ashlar, slate roof. Irregular former L-plan house with later
additions to west and in angle of L. Entrance to south, lateral stacks to
north and east. Two storeys, attic and cellar, south front, slightly
forward-projecting section to left with shallow pitch, string course and
plain pilasters, two glazing bar sash windows, C20 porch to ground floor,
section to right with steep roof-pitch has two glazing bar sash windows
and C20 gabled projection to ground floor. English bond brickwork
revealed to rear. Interior retains fine staircase with turned balusters
and square newels, and several C17 battened doors on upper floor.
