Pair of gate piers
and gates approximately
75 metres east of
Hill Court

Gate piers and gates. Early C18 with gates of 1933 in an early C18 style.
Sandstone ashlar and wrought iron. Piers of square plan with cornices and
elaborately decorated vases: Between the piers is a screen of wrought iron
with central gates. Above is elaborate scrollwork overthrow which includes
an oval plaque with the figure of a man, and inscriptions: "Now Thus",
"GHT [Guy Trafford]".
