Farmhouse. Late C16 and late C18 with later alterations. Timber-frame with
wattle-and-daub and lath-and-plaster infill, clad in rubble, slate roof.
U-plan, front range of 5 framed bays; left wing of 2 framed bays, right of
one framed bay with added 2 bays of stone, stacks at junction between rear
wings and front range; U infilled in C19 2 storeys with attic, lit by 3
mid-C20 gabled dormers; 5 windows, all 2 light mid-C20 casements; ground
floor: irregular fenestration, C19 casements under segmental heads of 4:2:3:2
lights; central entrance under flat canopy on wooden posts, sides closed with
trellis work, 4-panelled door in broad moulded timber architrave. Framing:
visible in rear elevation and internally, probably originally 4 square panels
high to wall-plate. Main posts covered in wall-paper, but jowelled heads
are discernible on first floor.
