Farmhouse. Probably late C17 - early C18 with early C19 alterations.
Timber-frame, mainly brick clad, dentilled eaves cornices and end stacks
to east and west. L-plan with main front to south and full height return
wing to the rear of its east end. Two storeys with cellars and attics.
South elevation: three windows, glazing bar sashes; ground floor has two
canted early C19 bay windows with 20-pane sashes to fronts and 15 to angles;
central 6-panelled early C19 door with the top two panels glazed under flat
canopy supported by two wooden columns with abaci, roof hipped to right, end
stacks. East return elevation to road has two segmentally-headed 3-light
early C19 casements, one to each floor to left and two blind equivalents
to their right. North gable of east wing has exposed timber-framing six
panels high, the top three panels of which are single pegged and therefore
presumably later than the bottom three panels which are double pegged;
attached to its north, a single storey early C19 addition, again with
dentilled brick eaves cornice, segmentally-headed brick wagon arch, door
and 4-light casement to rear elevation but no fenestration to the road.
