House. Probably C17. Timber-framing with tile roof. Main part of house of
L-plan. Two storeys. Main range framed in three rows of square panels. Each
panel has an added central stud which is not pegged. One window on ground
floor and two on first floor. Door to right under slated canopy. One-bay
cross-wing at right has jetty partly underbuilt in brick. The truss has
vertical struts between tie-beam and collar and curved struts above the collar.
Set back to the right is a further range which may be of later date. It is
close-studded with three rails and has one window on each floor. At the left
is a lean-to brick porch. Chimneys on rear wall of this range and on ridge of
cross-wing. The latter has a multi-flue stack of star-shaped outline. Gable
truss of right-hand range has struts between tie-beam and collar. Interior:
not accessible at time of survey (June 1986).
