5/11 Pen-twyn Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably C17 - C18, extended in C19. Timber-frame on rubble
base, brick infill panels, slate roof, chimney to left hand side. One
storey and attic, 3 bays and rubble bay to right. C19 cross casements
to ground floor, one either side of entrance and 2 raking top 4-light
dormers above. Early C20 brick entrance porch under stone slate roof
in second bay from left with C20 planked door. Frame: regular panels,
3 high from base to wall-plate. Interior: (cursory inspection): partitions
separating each bay largely survive, trusses have raking struts from tie-
beams to principals. Right hand side extension which is a continuation of
the timber-framed part under a common roof covering is in rubble with a
ledged C19 door.
