House, used as club premises. C16 former open hall now floored. Stone rubble and
flint. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Long two storey widely-spaced six window
range, right hand recessed slightly. One, two, three and five-light casements with
leaded panel. Heavy timber four-centred arch doorway to left of centre. Dripmould
over window in east gable end. Ovolo moulded and chamfered mullion windows at
rear. Two external stone chimney stacks on front with set offs and moulded caps.
Stone end and ridge stacks with moulded caps, end stack corbelled, and two rebuilt
ridge stacks. Small circa C18-C19 stone rubble lean-to addition to left. Interior:
jointed cruck trusses, three plank and muntin screens, one with blocked pointed arch
doorway, the other with four-centred arch doorway. The screen to cross-passage has
been removed. Heavy stopped chamfer ceiling beams. Open fireplace with chamfered
stone surround. Another stone chimneypiece with chamfered four-centred arch and
another with C19 moulded wood chimneypiece. C17 moulded plaster frieze on first
floor with acanthus leaves and date "16..".
