thatched roof, gabled-end and half-hipped. Originally possibly a 3-room, cross-
passage plan truncated at higher end, now of 2 rooms. Lateral hall stack projecting
at front. C20 single-storey extension at rear. I) storeys. Asymmetrical one-
window front. C20 panelled and glazed door (possibly to former passage) with open
rustic timber and thatched porch which extends to right over a C20 2-light casement
with glazing bars. Similar but larger window above in gabled thatched dormer.
Large projecting lateral stack to right of centre with brick shaft, and tiled roof
over oven in right-hand angle. Small single-light stair window to right with C17
chamfered wooden frame exposed inside. Large C20 French window at rear and
remainder of fenestration also C20.
Interior: roof inspected only from 1st-floor rooms. One exposed jointed cruck with
collar and apparently trenched purlins. Another similar truss might be concealed.
Former hall has chamfered ceiling beam with step stops with carved winged arrow
design. Rough beams to lower end. RSJ replaces former passage partition wall.
