Cottage. Probably mid - late C17, renovated in the late C19 - early C20. Plastered
cob on stone rubble footings; the front faced or rebuilt with white-washed late C19
- early C20 brick; cob or stone rubble stacks topped with C19 and C20 brick; thatch
roof.
Plan: the house faces south-east. It seems to be a modernised 3-room-and-central-
service-room plan house with parlour to left (south-west) with a gable-end stack and
kitchen to right with a projecting end stack with oven housing. 2 storeys with C20
lean-to outshot on right end.
Exterior: irregular 4-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars. The front
doorway is slightly left of centre and contains a C20 door and contemporary hood.
Main roof is gable-ended to left and hipped to right.
Interior: was not available for inspection at the time of this survey. However it
is said to be largely the result of late C19 and C20 modernisations. Original
carpentry is suspected but it is hidden by later plaster it seems.
