HOUSE. C16 early C18 and late C19. Red brick with rendered entrance front and slate
roof with 3 brick gable stacks. Raised rendered quoins and first floor band. 2 storey. T-
plan. East, entrance front, 5 windows, with central doorway with ashlar doorcase with
double brackets and hood, plus a part glazed 3 panel door with overlight. Eitherside are
2 glazing bar sashes in raised surrounds with bracketed cills. About 5 similar windows.
Rear facade, has a small C19 canted bay window and above a glazing bar sash, south front
has a 4 light casement, and above a further glazing bar sash. South gable has C20 lean-to
conservatory. INTERIOR. Ground floor room to north has full height raised and fielded
panelling c1700, with moulded coving and C20 tiled fireplace. Single flight and return
staircase with continuous string and turned balusters, plus square newels and moulded
hand rail. Rear kitchen, former dining room has raised and fielded dado panelling and 2
semi-circular alcove arches. Most windows have panelled shutters and most doors are
panelled with moulded surrounds.
