WEYMOUTH

SY6677NW PORTLAND ROAD, Wyke Regis
873-1/29/648 (West side)
Weston monument approx 7m S of north
churchyard gate to Church of All
Saints

GV II

Chest tomb. To William Willis Weston, d.1828. Portland stone.
Low pyramidal ledger with roll-mould edge above corner
pilasters with reeding and rosettes, on a simple moulded base.
There are raised inscription panels to each face except the N;
the earliest legible interment is 1828, which seems an
appropriate date for the style of the monument. This is an
rare chest tomb in a churchyard containing many headstones.
