House and warehouse, now house. Early and mid C19. Painted
brick, roof hidden behind parapets. Gable stacks, chamfered
plinth, plain first and second floor bands, moulded parapet with
decorative raised centre part inscribed SHEFFIELD and decorative
ramped corner features with finials. Three storeys. West
elevation of three bays. Off-centre doorway with channelled
wedge lintel. C20 door and rectangular overlight. To the right
a glazing bar sash under a channelled wedge lintel. Similar
window to left, and to left again a narrower glazing bar sash,
of sixteen panes. Three similar windows above and three similar
but smaller window above again. Outshut to rear has a first
floor doorway with hoist. Built as the house, shop and
warehouse for a grocer named Sheffield.
