Fountain in Rose Garden 150m south-east of Abbey

Ornamental fountain. Early/mid C19. Coade stone or similar artificial material. Whimsical rustic style. The fountain has a tripod base in the form of rocks, carrying a round stem in the form of entwined branches. Above this, 3 round bowls of decreasing size, with rolled and lobed rims. Central metal multiple jet. The fountain is set in a round basin with a moulded kerb in rustic style, incorporating high- relief figures of animals.
