House, formerly farmhouse then 3 cottages. Late C16 and C17. Timber-frame
with colourwashed brick infill and rebuilding and added colourwashed reused
dressed stone and flint bay, roof thatched to stone bay and bay of exposed
frame and old plain tiles to rest. 3 bay and smoke bay, 2 storey with added
stone bay to right which joins house to barn (qv). 3 doors from when house
was 3 cottages. Door in left bay now french windows with gabled bracketed
hood, smoke bay or 3rd bay from left has C 19 stepped gable porch with stone
coping and entrance from both sides, and at right end of timber-frame C18
planked door in solid frame. In stone bay is C18 stable door with single
early C19 castiron casement and 2 similar 2-light casements in other bays.
Stone bay has a string course and above C18 3-light casement. In other bays
3 early C19 2-light cast iron casements, and small 2-light casement over porch.
Tiled roof half-hipped at left, thatched roof has decorated ridge. Large
stack above smoke bay at right end of tiled roof and external stack at left
end.
