Row of cottages. Late C18 and on tablet 'TH 1834' on The Old Post Office,
possibly earlier. Brick with blue headers partly colourwashed, thatched roof.
1½ storey, irregular, pair of 2 bay cottages to left and 4 bay cottage to right.
Left cottages have each side of centre C20 planked door with small 3-light
casement beside and in end bays 2-light segmental headed casements, all openings
with segmental heads. Above 3 2-light casements in eyebrow dormers, 2 to left.
4-bay cottage has central glazed door, 2 2-light casements to left and 3-light
casement at right end, all with segmental heads except small light to right of
centre. 4 2-light casements in eyebrow dormers and tablet above door. Roof
abuts taller Bacton Thatch (qv) to left and is half-hipped to right. Ridge
stacks above centre of pairs of cottages in centre of right one and to left of
centre of right cottage.
