Ha-Ha, early C19, by J B Papworth. Brick wall with Portland stone
coping and urns. Ha-Ha runs from some 200 m NW of the house to some 200 m
SW of it and then runs W parallel to S front. 2 m deep ditch with 3 m high
brick wall with stone coping and at 20 m intervals stone vases. Section S of
house has early C19 wrought iron gates each end by supposedly Italian crafts-
men. Between balustraded parapet with, at 5 m intervals, squat square piers
surmounted by stone vases.
