House, now hotel. 1707. Brick walls of blue headers with flush red quoins, rubbed
flat and oval arches, moulded 1st and 2nd floor bands, moulded impost bands to the
ground-floor oval arches (with brick-filled spandrels): parapet with moulded stone
coping. Tile roof, catslide at rear. Symmetrical north-west front elevation of
three storeys five windows. Original sashes in exposed frames. Doorcase of full
Roman Doric Order, with segmental pediment, fluted pilasters on pedestals, architrave,
7-panelled (top 3 glazed) door, above stone steps. A southside entrance gate has
simple brick piers, with pineapples. Long rear wing of similar style, of two storeys
and attic five windows. Within, there is a room with complete pinewood panelling,
panelling to the hall, and original dog-leg staircase (with turned balusters) set
in vertical panelling.
