GV II

L-shaped row of cottages. C16, C17 refronted C19. Timber-frame rendered,
rendered brick, roofs thatched and tiled. Road front 4 bay with C19 bay
at left end, 2 storey on plinth. 3 C19 planked doors at inner ends of
outer bays and in C19 bay, windows C19. 2 & 3-light leaded casements.
Jetty to 1st floor with moulded brackets, but lower jetty on C19 bay.
On 1st floor 4 regular C19 2-light casements. Roof abutts house to left
and is hipped to right and half hipped to left. Large stack over C19 bay
and small ridge stack right of centre and remains of stack on right end.
Right side, 1½ storey, 3 bay with single storey bay linking to other
range. C19 door in road end bay with 3-light casement within link bay.
2-light casement. To right bread oven projection, and 2 2-light casements,
with blocked doorway in right bay. Above 3 regular eyebrow dormers with 2-
light casements. Thatched hipped roof with ridge piece. Large stack between
centre and left bays and on right gable. Roof to link tiles. Inside exposed
roof timber indicate remains of king post roof.
