Rectory now private house. Circa 1734 remodelling and early C20. Brick, colourwashed
extensions, weatherboarded on brick plinths, old plain tiled roof. Double pile
5 bay house with church hall added to right in 1910, and earlier service wing to
centre of rear of house. Front 2 storeys and attic, 5 bays. Central front doortop
and middle glazed, in stone lugged architrave, with segmental moulded hood over
at level of 1st floor string course. Each side 2 12-pane sashes in flush frames
with rubbed brick arches. 1st floor string course of moulded brick. 1st floor
has 5 12-pane flush frame sashes. Above large moulded stone eaves cornice. Roof
half-hipped with 2 small hipped roof dormers with 2-light casements. Symmetrical
external large gable stacks. To right wing, single storey, 2 bay, originally church
hall, weatherboarded, with large venetian style French window. Inside staircase
early C18 with delicate turned balusters, and moulded handrail and cut spandrels
sympathetically extended C20 to 2nd floor contemporary panelled central room and
massive back door in kitchen.
