This was designed by Ford Madox Brown. Rossetti died at Birchington-on-Sea
on 9 April 1882. A stone Celtic cross, the arms and sten being connected by
a circle. Within the lowest part of the stone is represented St Luke,
patron saint of Painters and above this an ox, the emblem of the Evangelist,
Scrolled motifs.
