Early C18 and early C19. Large double L shaped house. South front early C18.
Grey headers with red brick dressings including gauged flat window arches and quoins
to the centre window bay which projects. Stucco sill bands at 1st and 2nd floors.
Pilasters flank the facade. Parapet with stucco eaves cornice. 3 storeys. 5
windows, sashes with glazing bars. Porch. Modern additions to the west of this.
On the east, or garden, front is one contemporary large curved bay of 3 windows
on all floors and one similar bay added about 1800 of the same height but only
of 2 storeys and faced with white brick. 3 windows between the bays, to which
modern bays have been added on the ground and 1st floors and 1 beyond on north
side. Sashes but glazing bars missing in additions. Cornice and parapet.
Nos 1 to 13 (odd) Surgery and Fareham house, form a group with Nos 10 and 12 and
the Red Lion. (Surgery is a building of local interest).
