C18. 1 building. Facade of red brick with modillion eaves cornice. Side facade
tile hung. Hipped tiled roof. 3 storeys and basement to No 61. 3 windows in all.
Sashes with moulded boxed frames, those of ground and 1st floors with cambered
head linings. No 61 has a doorcase with pilasters and pediment, No 62 has similar
doorcase at side. Carriage arch north end of No 61.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
