Possibly of C16 origin. Altered. 2 storeys plus attic; 7 bays. Colour-washed
brick; tiled roof. Ground floor with flush windows and, in 2nd bay, simple timber
door and, in 5th bay, a modern door set in slightly projecting brick surround
with moulded stone pediment over. Panel over this door says Edmund Spenser lived
here in 1590. Broad band at 1st floor level. 1st floor flush windows with glazing
bars. Moulded wood eaves cornice with irregular brackets. 3 pedimented dormers,
one larger than the others.
