SU 74 SW BINSTED NEATHAM

3/1 Upper Neatham Mill House

II

House, formerly a water mill. Late C17, and C18. Mainly brick walls, and a tile
roof. The south elevation is of 2 storeys and attic, 5 above 3 windows, with
a single-storeyed wing at the west end. Plain roof. The east end has exposed
framing on its south and east walls, with painted brick infill, the upper south
wall being tile-hung, with scalloped bands, and the upper east gable showing an
attic window. The west side is of painted brickwork in English bond, with
cambered ground-floor openings, plinth, and brick dentil eaves to the wing (with
a ½-hipped roof). Casements. 6-panelled door (2 top glazed) in an architrave
with a C20 canopy on 4 posts. The north elevation is entirely of brickwork with
save altered features.
