House. c.1500 c1550, C17 early C19 and C20. Exterior mainly of stonework, with
a tile roof. A timber framed building of c1550, C17 exterior, early C19 re-
cladding, and C20 north-side extensions in Vernacular style. The front (east)
is of 2 storeys, 4.1 windows. ½-hipped roof, with a deep ½-hip to the slightly
projecting north side. Ironstone walls with brick quoins, cambered arches,
plinth. Casements. C20 gabled porch. the south elevation, of 2 storey, 2
above 3 windows, shows the south end of the mid C16 extension (with tile-hung
½-hip) and C17 wing, which has a west end gable separated from a stepped
stack: the upper walls are tile hung and the lower of stone with brick dressings:
casements. The rear (west) is a complex of roof forms, with a central catslide
above a low wall, having exposed framing. The interior shows part of the oldest
and the later framing.
