House. 1847 in a classical style. Walls of red brickwork in Flemish bond,
slightly projecting centrepiece, openings with rubbed flat arches set in
recesses, having cambered arches to the 1st floor and round arches to the ground-
floor, plinth. Low pitched hipped slate roof. East front: 2 storeys
symmetrical 1.1.1 windows. Sashes in reveals. C20 plain classical doorcase,
with narrow windows at each side. The roof at the rear passes to a lower eaves
above the lower 2-storeyed service part of the house (of earlier origin?) which
has walls of unusual bonding (headers alternating with brick-on-edge , casements,
½-glazed door, and lead fire insurance sign.
