3/33 No. 44 (Watermill)
II
Formerly a pair of cottages, now one dwelling. Mid C18. Rendered walls
above a flint base, thatched roof. The main elevation (east) is symmetrical,
of 1 storey and attic, 4 windows. The hipped roof is brought low at each
end above outshots (which are clad in vertical rustic poles). The eaves are
raised above the dormers (with cills at eaves level), and there is one
eyebrow dormer to the road (west) elevation. The walls are probably of cob,
with painted triangular brick panels within timber-framing to the sides of
the dormers. Casements. glazed doors beneath slate-roofed canopies, on
braced wood brackets.
