House. Early C17, refronted in C18, refenestrated and extended in late
C20. Timber framed building refronted mainly in red brick in English
bond with some vitrified headers, including band of 3 courses between
floors and flint plinth and left side ground floor. Half-hipped
renewed tiled roof sloping to rear with central brick stack. 2 storeys
3 windows. 2 bay building probably originally of baffle entry plan.
Most windows are late C20 casements. Front elevation retains cambered
brick arches to ground floor windows. Left side elevation retains
early C17 4-light ovolo-moulded mullioned windows and the evidence of a
similar window above. Modillion eaves cornice. C20 gabled roughcast
extension to left not of special interest. Interior has exposed frame
with midrail and diagonal tension braces. Right side front room has
chamfered spine beam and exposed floor joists and original 3-plank
door. Some C17 brickwork visible in outshut. Open fireplace.
