Statue of Horse and
Dragon
II
Pre-1830. Part of a commission given by George IV to Matthew Cotes Wyatt, for a
sculpture of St George. The work did not progress beyond this house, representing a horse and dragon. It was acquired by the second Duke of Wellington in 1865, for Apsley House, London, and was brought to Stratfield Saye in 1950.
