Late C18. Two storeys, 1:1.1.1:1 windows. A symmetrical facade (east) with a tall
upper floor, the middle part projecting slightly from the wings, and itself having a
projecting centrepiece. Hipped tile roofing, with a continuous cornice, above which
in the middle part is a parapet with coping, broken in the centre by a steep pediment,
enclosing a clock face. Above the middle gable is a square turret, with corner
pilasters, arched openings with keystone and impost blocks, a cornice and dome, ending
in a wrought-iron weathervane. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, rubbed flat
cambered and round arches, stone cills; stucco features include rustication between
the impost band and plinth, first floor band. Sash windows to the upper floor, the
central wider lights being within a recessed opening below a segmental arch, with
verniculated impost band supporting a plastered panel with a hollow fan design.
Panelled doors are at each wing, and high windows on each side of the central opening
(now a glazed doorway). The other elevations are of red brickwork in English bond
with a flat-roofed modern rear wing behind the north side.
