Messengers Cottage

C16, early C19. Timber-framed house of one-storey and attic, with later alterations. Thatched roof, half-hipped at ends, with a catslide above a forward projection, eyebrow dormers with cills at eaves level. Frame exposed at the north and east sides, with brick infilling; other walling in brickwork, part English and part Flemish Garden wall bond. Casements. Boarded door in a solid frame.
