Detached house (derelict at time of resurvey April 1986). C17,
probably extended C18-early C19 and mid-late C19. C17 main body
square-panelled timber framing with unpainted brick infill
(rendered in places) some parts rebuilt in squared and dressed
limestone and sandstone or brick. C18-early C19 extension squared
and dressed grey sandstone. C19 extension red brick. Red tile
roof with brick stacks. Early core C17 rectangular in plan, late
C18-early C19 range set back and at right-angles to the main body
(now with roof removed). Minor C19 extension parallel to and in
front of the latter. Early core; 2 storeys and attic. Twin-
gabled 3-bay entrance front. Twelve-pane sash to the ground floor
of the left-hand gable, set across the blocking of (?) two stone-
mullioned casements with stopped hoods. Three-light casements to
ground and first floors of the right-hand gable with glazing bars.
Shuttered 2-light windows towards the apex of each gable. Central
C20 six-panel door set within an open-sided porch. Left gable end
light by two 12-pane sashes with gauged brick heads. Circular
bull's-eye window towards the apex of the gable. Two blocked
openings to the left of the sash windows. Badly eroded blocked
sandstone stone-mullioned window to the left-hand return. Seven-
windowed C18 extension to left, formerly lit by large segmental-
headed windows now mostly blocked. One window with cross mullions.
Plank doors, one far left, one far right. Interior; Not
accessible but room to right of front door contains a large open
fireplace with a pot crane.
