Large house. Squared-panelled and close-studded timber framing
with rendered and painted brick infill; coursed squared and
dressed limestone and painted brick; red brick stack. Rectangular
main body with a projecting jettied gable far left; hall at right
angles rear left. C20 flat-roofed extension to rear, not of
special interest. Two storeys. Entrance front with jettied gable
projecting forwards to the left with a C20 rectangular oriel with
transom to the ground floor; C20 cross window above. C20 three-
light and one 4-light casement with transom to the right. C20
plank door with fillets towards the projecting jettied gable with
single-light casements either side; large 2-light wooden casement
above. Four 2-light wooden casements and one single-light casement
to the right; large timber-framed eaves dormer with decorative
timber framing and blocked window. South-facing elevation with
hall with ashlar-built ground floor, to left, with large
rectangular bay window with wooden mullions and transoms;
projecting stack to the opposite side, timber-framed eaves dormer
with decorative timber framing to the left. Gable-end with
projecting stack; axial stacks.
Interior: remnants of C17 moulded cornice and C17 panelled dado.
Open hall with coffered ceiling at eaves level. Exposed close-
studded and square-panelled timber framing.
