Detached house set blank gable ends hard against pavement edge. C17 with later
modifications. Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate or concrete tile
roofs. Two parallel ranges of unequal lengths joined by short centre wing to
form an uneven U-plan. Street front without windows. Return left has one
storey and attic with plank door in chamfered surround and small single light
under a 2-light recessed chamfer mullion casement in coped half-gable which is
repeated on the opposite slope. Lateral eaves stack to left. Left gable to
garden front has an oculus over 2-light; right gable an oculus over 2-light and
a former 3-light now without mullions, all these recessed chamfer with stopped
hoods. Interior retains a stone spiral stair, vaulted cellar, bressumer fire,
and one good panelled door.
