Detached house. Late C17; early C18 addition. Later outbuilding
altered in C20. Random rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone
and artificial stone slate roofs. Two-storey; single-storey rear
addition with attic, outbuilding on north end. West front: single-
window fenestration, 3-light chamfered mullioned casement to ground
floor, 2-light above. Doorway with chamfered opening to right, C20
glazed door. Tall eaves-mounted ashlar chimney to rear wing.
Interior: remarkable features include fine classical fireplace to
rear room with moulded square opening and entablature mantel shelf
with complex cornice. Doorway has 3-central stone arch with
moulded imposts and decorative keystone; dressed stone jambs. The
reason for such internal ostentation in a very small house is
unclear.
