II
Detached house. Mid-late C17; addition dated 1712; Cl9 and C20
alterations. Coursed and random rubble limestone; ashlar
chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic; plan is
accumulation of small units. West front: earliest part to left of
centre with gables to north and south ends. Single-window
fenestration on west side, both 3-light recessed cavetto mullioned
with hoodmoulds. L-plan addition to right has gable end to left
with single window fenestration, all ovolo moulded with hoods, 3-
light to ground and upper floor, 2-light to attic. Doorway to
right with carved date above: 'T.M. 1712'. Upper part of front
wall links from ridge-level to earliest part to left, coping having
Cl9 Jacobean style openwork carving and pointed stone finials.
Remainder of range to right has 2-storey canted bay window in
ashlar with mullioned casements and openwork parapet. To north end
former stable and coach house altered in C20 upon incorporation
into house. South end: gable mounted chimney with moulded top.
Single-window fenestration, mostly restored. Interior not
inspected.
