4/85 Beach monument in the churchyard
approximately 4m north of Marten
monument to north of Church of
St. Nicholas

GV II

Pedestal tomb. Dated 1808; by John Pearce of Frampton.
Sandstone. Rectangular with large raised circular inscription
panels to sides with foliage in spandrels. Fluted frieze to ends;
blank raised oval panel to west; east end with portrait of mourning
woman sitting under tree carved in relief in curved recess.
Moulded top and cyma moulded plinth. Inscribed on south side to
JOSEPH BEACH, died 1808.
