Detached farmhouse., Dated 1688; early C18 and C19 additions.
Coursed and random rubble limestone; ashlar to rear wing;
artificial stone rebuilt chimneys; plain tile roof. Two-storey
with attic; rear wing forms L-plan. Front: 2 gables, 3-window
fenestration all chamfered mullioned casements; 3-light to ground
and upper floors, separate hoodmoulds to ground floor, combined to
upper floor. Single 2-light with hood in each gable and oval
window above with lozenge decoration, left with initials I S, right
with date 1688. Central doorway with flat timber porch hood on
shaped brackets; C20 door. Early C19 addition to left has former
segmental-arched doorway, now with C20 casement; segmental-arched
small-paned casement above. West end: small off-centre blocked
single-light, large area of ashlar patching below. Rebuilt gable-
mounted chimney. Rear: front range has single 3-light casement to
each floor; glazed door with timber lintel to right. Altered
window and doorway to ground floor of rear wing; 3-light casement
above with hoodmould. Two small attic lights to gable end;
artificial stone rebuilt gable end chimney. Interior not
inspected.
