Two houses. c1830; mid C19 additions. Coursed and squared
limestone; ashlar dressings; rebuilt concrete chimneys; Welsh
slate roof. Three-storey; 2-storey rear outshut and addition at
west end, now Knapp House Cottage. Front: 3-window fenestration,
16-pane sashes to ground and middle floors, 8-pane to upper floor,
all with deep stone lintels. Central doorway approached up side
flight of stone steps; 6-panel door with rectangular light over.
Cellar doorway with plank door in small cellar area to right. C20
single-window casement fenestration to Knapp House Cottage to right
with stone lintels; C20 door to left with approach steps. East
end: off-centre doorway with glazed doors. Gable end chimneys.
Rear: continuous 2-storey outshut with mixed fenestration, all with
deep stone lintels.
Interior: panelled shutters to ground floor sashes. Most original
doors and architraves have been retained.
