(west side), South Woodchester

GV II

House attached to row. Late C16; extensive C20 restoration.
Random rubble limestone; timber framing; roughcast render;
rubble and brick chimneys; stone slate roof. South side: part
with upper floor timber framing runs towards road to right with
large rubble-built lateral chimney stack. Mixed C19 and C20
casements to left and very small chamfered stair light. Gable end
of later addition projects forward to right with single-window
casement fenestration. East front: gable end with restored
timber framing to left but with original moulded bressumer; heavy
stone corbels below jetty; leaded ground floor cross window.
Rear: various additions form 2 gables with scattered and mixed
fenestration.
Interior: extensively restored but with large fireplace and some
early plank doors. Forms part of group with Cornerways and
Neuholme (q.v.).
