4/33 "Pump House" at Oakleaze Farm
GV II
Former cottage now in agricultural/storage use. Early/mid C17.
Rubble stone, raised to roof with brick in places, slate roof,
single brick stack on north gable. Square with large cross gables,
single storey and attic. Columbarium with stone ledges in 3
remaining gables, that to east partially obscured by single storey
coursed stone range on right with pantile roof. South face,
towards Oakleaze Farmhouse (q.v.), has central door with chamfered
wood jambs and cambered lintel, original studded plank door with 2
large strap hinges. Flanking twin 4-pane casements with wood
lintels and one over, some renewed.
