Gate piers and gates in grounds of Lodge Park (q.v. Sherborne
Parish). Mid C18 or earlier. In style after William Kent.
Ashlar piers. Cast iron gates. Square gate piers with hammer-
dressed quoins to height of gates, large limestone block above and
triangular pedimented capping stone to each pier. C19 cast iron
gates of simple geometric design. (Property of the National
Trust)
