Formerly 3 estate cottages in row, now 2 cottages incorporating the
Post Office. Early C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone.
Concrete tile roof. Two C19 ashlar stacks and two C20 dressed
stone stacks on ashlar plinths. Long rectangular plan. C20
extensions at rear not of special interest. Five half dormers to
first floor all with 2-light stone-mullioned casements. Six 2-
light stone-mullioned casements to ground floor, all with stopped
hoods. Three C20 part-glazed plank doors with flat stone canopies
with moulded margins, supported by moulded brackets. Stacks at
gable ends and 2 axial stacks. All stacks set on plinth. Two
stacks with C19 moulded cappings. Flat coping and moulded
kneelers at gable ends and to dormers. Interiors not inspected.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone walls, c2m in height at right
angles to gable ends. Wall to right links No 38 to No 39.
