walls forming part of the north-east
boundary to Daglingworth House

GV II

Stable, outbuildings and linking walls forming part of the north
west boundary to the grounds of Daglingworth House (q.v.). Late
C18-early C19. Stable: coursed roughly squared and dressed
limestone; stone slate roof; squared and dressed limestone stack.
Rectangular plan with small lean-tos on the south-west and north-
east sides; short wall runs north-east from stable to a small
outbuilding, another wall runs south for c25m to another
outbuilding. South-west elevation of stableblock: two 6-pane top-
opening casements with timber lintels either side of the doorway;
original plank door off-centre left within a round-headed semi-
circular headed surround with keystone and imposts; semi-circular
window over the door with glazing bars; wide opening with concrete
lintel far right. Single-width door to the gable end of the
stable; pitching door above. Plank door to right-hand return of
lean-to which projects forwards to the left. Small outbuilding
(resembling an earth closet) linked via wall to the northern corner
of the stableblock. Further outbuilding linked by wall c3m in
height on the south-east to a further outbuilding with a single
plank door off-centre right on the south-west side. These
buildings and linking walls form a prominent feature at the village
centre.
