5/63 Elm Tree House

GV II

Detached house with gable end to street, formerly a farmhouse.
Early C18. Rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, stone
slate roof, stone end stack to right, brick flue to external stone
stack to left and to end stack to far left. Single main range
with rear extension, of 2 storeys and attic in gable end, with set
back range in 2 stages to left, formerly probably in agricultural
use, with rear lean-to. Main range has 3 windows, 2/2/3-light
stone mullions with wood casements, with flush stone surrounds and
painted mullions. Ground floor has 3-light casement to left and
full length glazed double doors to right, with central half-glazed
door recessed in flush quoin surround. Range to left has small 2
and 3-light casements, some leaded.
